Jake, Erika, Toni ja Pelle olivat ala-asteella samalla luokalla. Nyt he ovat nuoria aikuisia, ja heille on jo ehtinyt tapahtua kaikenlaista. Yksi on vankilassa, kaksi asuu yhdessä ja neljäs puolestaan on mielisairaalassa. On luokkakokouksen aika, ja totta kai kaikki haluavat päästä paikalle. Laivalla pidettävä luokkakokous ei kuitenkaan ole pelkkää biletystä ja vanhojen hyvien aikojen muistelua vaan täynnä paljastuksia ja vaaroja. Mitä meistä tuli on hauska ja jännittävä elokuva ystävyydestä, jossa riittää menoa ja meininkiä.

Elokuvan on ohjannut nuori Miika Ullakko, joka lisäksi esittää yhtä pääosista. Hän on myös kirjoittanut, kuvannut ja leikannut elokuvan. Mitä meistä tuli -elokuvan taustalta löytyy sama tekijäporukka, joka teki kansainvälisestikin palkitun nuorisodraaman Graffiti meissä (2006).

Jake, Erika, Toni and Pelle were class mates at the elementary school. Now as young adults, they have already gone through all sorts of things. One is in prison, two of them live together and the fourth is in a mental hospital. The time has come for a class reunion, and of course everyone wants to be there. The reunion that takes place on a cruise boat is not just partying and remembering the good old times, but it also comes with danger and disclosure. What became of us is a funny and exciting film about friendship that never leaves one bored.

The film was directed by the young Miika Ullakko, who plays one of the main characters in the film, as well. In addition to that, he has also written, shot and edited the film. Behind the film What became of us is the same group that made the internationally renowned youth film Graffiti within (2006).
