Tähdellistä! koostuu kahdesta tarinasta, joista ensimmäinen on nimeltään Tähden seuraajat. Nuori poika Balzar tykkää katsella tähtiä, ja hän saakin vanhemmiltaan luvan lähteä matkalle kahden idän tietäjän kanssa. Kirkas tähti johtaa heitä kohti vastasyntynyttä lasta. Vastoinkäymisiä matkalla riittää, mutta niistä selviydytään entistä vahvempina.

Paimenten matka seimelle puolestaan kertoo nuoresta paimenpoika Belasta, jonka äiti on vasta kuollut. Bela haluaisi jäädä Beetlehemiin, mutta hänen isällään on muita suunnitelmia. Tarinat punoutuvat yhteen Belan ja Balzarin kohdatessa toisensa.

Tähdellistä! jatkaa Kirkon tiedotuskeskuksen av-toimituksen tuottamien Arvaa mitä! - ja Ihmeellistä!-nukke-elokuvien sarjaa. Elokuvat on ohjannut Aarne Ormio, joka myös vastaa kuvauksesta, äänityksestä ja leikkauksesta. Kirkon tiedotuskeskuksen av-toimitus tuottaa opetusmateriaalia lapsille ja nuorille.

Follow the star! consists of two parts. In the first part a

a young boy called Balzar likes to watch the stars, and his parents allow him to go on a journey with two wise men of the east. A bright star leads them towards a newborn baby. There are plenty of hardships on the way, but the travellers get through them stronger than before.

The second part is about a young shepherd Bela whose mom has recently died. Bela would like to stay in Bethlehem but his father has other plans. The stories of these two parts are bound together as Bela and Balzar meet each other.

Follow the star! continues the puppet-animation series  produced by the Information Centre of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. The films have been directed by Aarne Ormio, who is responsible for photography, recording and editing, as well.
