Kaverukset Ikko, Amalie, Babb, Murmel ja Ling soittavat samassa orkesterissa. Vuosittaiset Norjan mestaruuskisat lähestyvät, mutta heidän kapellimestarinsa, kuuluisa muusikko Elsbeth Bull, asettuu heidän tielleen. Paha-Bull juonii ystävykset ulos orkesterista, koska he ovat hieman erilaisia nuoria. He eivät kuitenkaan lannistu, vaan perustavat oman orkesterin osallistuakseen kisoihin ja näyttääkseen Pahalle-Bullille kuinka torvet törisevät!

Atle Knudsen on vuonna 1971 syntynyt norjalainen ohjaaja, joka on opiskellut Bergenin yliopistossa. Hän on ohjannut vuodesta 1995 useita tv-sarjoja lapsille. Hänen ensimmäinen pitkä elokuvansa Vaskivekkulit pulassa kertoo ystävyydestä, rohkeudesta olla oma itsensä ja hyväksyä muut sellaisina kuin he ovat.

Buddies Ikko, Amalie, Babb, Murmel and Ling play in the same orchestra. The annual Norwegian championships are near, but their conductor, the famous Elsbeth Bull, steps in their way. The evil Bull plots the friends out of the orchestra, because they are a bit different from the others. The friends won't let this pull them down, however, and they found their own orchestra in order to take part in the competition and show the evil Bull how the real trumpets trumpet!

Atle Knudsen (b.1971) is a Norwegian director who has studied in the University of Bergen. Since 1995, he has directed several TV series for children. His first feature ORPS - The movie is about friendship, and about the courage to be oneself and to accept others as they are.
