Beautifully shot documentary moves the camera down to a child’s level and follows six-year-old Aatos’s journey to find God in Molenbeek, a place that has become infamous for terror attacks. Even though bombs find their way into children’s play, hate and anger are only part of adults’ world. As Aatos’s feisty friend Flo wisely puts it: “Hate is a flaw that causes a lot of problems.”

In search of a higher power, Aatos explores Scandinavian and Greek mythology, and cries in his mother’s lap when Hermes quits answering to him. Looking through a periscope the world looks marvellous, and Islam in every-day life means that best friend Amine doesn’t eat pork.

At a neighbour’s party the Happy Birthday song is sung in many languages due to international guests, but other cultures and religions are sometimes hard to understand.
