Perhe lähettää nyhverön Gyulan kesäksi maalle miehistymään. Melkein 14-vuotias poika perehdytetään kalastuksen, melonnan ja metsästyksen jaloihin taitoihin. Täti puolestaan koettaa lihottaa laihaa poikaa kantamalla tälle loppumattomasti maalaisherkkuja.

Elokuva perustuu Istvan Feketen nuortenkirjaklassikkoon.

  

Family sends the wimpy Skipper to the countryside for the summer to grow up. The almost 14-year-old boy learns the fine art of fishing, paddling and hunting. At the same time his aunt tries to fatten him up with an endless array of farm delicacies.

The movie is based on a classic novel by Istvan Fekete.
